What Is a Liquid BBL?
A liquid BBL uses injectable biostimulators like Sculptra and Radiesse to add lift, contour, and shape to the butt and hips, delivering a minimal-downtime, generally safer alternative to surgical BBLs. Depending on the biostimulatory filler used, results can last for over 2 years.
When Sculptra and Radiesse are placed in the tissue, they activate fibroblasts—the cells responsible for producing structural proteins. This multitasking treatment can improve skin quality and firmness while enhancing your curves and contours.
The outcome? A seamless, sculptural transformation that unfolds over time for gorgeous, true-to-you results.
Beyond creating a firmer, more lifted appearance in the butt, Sculptra also works beautifully as a hip-dip filler, plus both Sculptra and Radiesse can improve the appearance of cellulite.
Liquid BBL Essentials
Uses Sculptra and Radiesse to trigger natural collagen production.
Creates visible changes that improve with time.
Enhances skin texture and laxity.
Sculpts, contours, and lifts.
Adds fullness and volume.
At FACE, Radiesse and Sculptra are $900 per unit.
Non-Surgical Butt Lift with Sculptra & Radiesse
Unlike a surgical BBL, which uses fat grafting to enhance your hips and bottom, the liquid BBL is a progressive treatment plan that uses biostimulatory fillers to accentuate your look.
FACE uses Sculptra and Radiesse for liquid BBLs to deliver gradual enhancements that integrate seamlessly with your body’s natural processes.
What that means for you? Gorgeous, subtle volume that strengthens skin by boosting both structure and elasticity for long-term tissue support that is safe across broad treatment areas.
A non-invasive BBL usually requires 3-4 sessions spaced 4-6 weeks apart, with peak results visible 3-6 months following your final treatment.
Sculptra BBL vs Radiesse Butt Lift
If your goal is building butt and hip fullness, the Sculptra BBL is our go-to hip dip filler, perfect for boosting backside volume and contour. For correcting skin texture and firmness, including tightening loose skin and improving skin dimpling, hyperdilute Radiesse is often the top choice.
The Radiesse butt lift often delivers earlier improvements in skin texture and firmness through progressive collagen stimulation, for results that focus on tightening and skin quality rather than volume.
The Sculptra BBL can take slightly longer, with a progressive payoff that boosts volume, projection, and contour as new collagen develops.
Treatment planning depends on a personalized, anatomy-led assessment with Nurse Desiree, ensuring the approach and product are tailored to your body and goals.
Liquid BBL Cost
Pricing for liquid BBL treatments is based on the number of Sculptra vials or Radiesse syringes recommended to achieve your goals, which Nurse Desiree will determine at your consultation. Full results from a non-surgical BBL develop progressively and require multiple treatment sessions.

Preparation Details
To best prepare for a successful liquid BBL, follow the steps below before your appointment.
Avoid other dermal fillers in the same treatment area for six weeks before and after treatment.
For one week before your appointment, avoid blood thinners and dehydrating substances, including caffeine, alcohol, St. John’s Wort, Ginkgo Biloba, evening primrose oil, fish oil, vitamin E, aspirin, ibuprofen, and similar products (Advil®, Motrin®, Aleve®). These can increase bruising, swelling, and pinpoint marks. If you are prescribed blood-thinning medications, follow your healthcare provider’s guidance.
For one week before and one week after treatment, avoid tretinoin, retinal, retinoids, glycolic acid, chemical peels, and other skin-sensitizing products in the treatment area.
Arrive at your appointment with clean skin in the treatment area, free of lotions, oils, or other products.
For 72 hours before and after your appointment, avoid highly processed foods, which can contribute to dehydration. Instead, focus on whole foods and leafy greens such as spinach, kale, and celery to support hydration and vitamin K levels.
24 hours before your appointment, consider taking Arnica montana to help reduce swelling and bruising. Arnica may also be taken afterward as needed.
24 hours before treatment, you may take an anti-inflammatory such as Tylenol™ to help with discomfort and swelling (avoid aspirin, Advil®, or Motrin®).
Avoid flying, saunas, or excessive heat exposure for 24 hours before and after your appointment, as dehydration can affect healing.
Avoid strenuous exercise for 24 hours before and after treatment. Newly placed biostimulatory fillers need time to settle, and adequate hydration during this period is important.
One hour before your appointment, you may consider taking two Extra-Strength Tylenol™ to help ease injection discomfort (do not take aspirin or NSAIDs).
By following these preparation guidelines, patients can help optimize their experience, comfort, and results with a non-surgical BBL using Sculptra or Radiesse.
Liquid BBL FAQ
How many vials are needed for a Sculptra BBL?
Mild enhancements typically require 8–10 vials total divided across 2–3 sessions, while moderate results often involve around 20 vials total, and more pronounced augmentations may require 30 or more.

How long does a liquid butt lift last?
Clinical studies have shown that Sculptra can support your body’s collagen regeneration process for 2 years or longer. Radiesse has been shown to improve skin tightness and elasticity for up to 18 months.
How long the results from a non-surgical butt lift last also depends on the number of sessions, the amount of product used, how quickly your body metabolizes the product, and the quality of the tissue treated.
What are the benefits of a non-invasive BBL?
No surgery, general anasthesia, or lengthy recovery process!
Minimal downtime and aftercare.
Very natural-looking outcomes.
Enhances shape, contour, and lift in glutes.
Softens hip dips for an hourglass figure.
Minimizes the appearance of cellulite and laxity.
Improves skin quality and elasticity.
Lower risk profile than surgery when performed by a qualified medical practitioner.
How long does it take to see results from a liquid BBL?
If you opt for Sculptra butt injections, you will likely see full improvements within 3-6 months of your final treatment session. With Radiesse, visible changes in your skin’s firmness and texture can start within 6 weeks of treatment and continue to develop for 2-3 months following your final session. Regardless of the product used, most patients require a series of at least 2-3 treatment sessions to attain optimal results.
Does a liquid BBL help with cellulite?
Because it targets sculptural issues while enhancing the texture and integrity of your skin, a liquid BBL can help improve the look of cellulite. A skilled injector like Nurse Desiree can place collagen-stimulating fillers in areas where dimpling and laxity are most visible due to weakened tissue support. As your body stimulates new collagen, the look of dimples will soften as your overall skin quality improves. Sculptra for cellulite is particularly effective because it can help disrupt the fibrous bands, or fascia, that contribute to the appearance of cellulite. In a 2024 study, participants who received Sculptra butt injections reported a visible reduction in cellulite dimpling.
Can you use hyaluronic acid fillers for a BBL?
While HA fillers are amazing for creating precise, localized volume in the face, they are not ideal for use in the buttocks or hips. On larger surfaces, HA fillers can appear heavy, retain water, or migrate, resulting in uneven texture and inconsistent results.
That’s why FACE uses biostimulatory fillers, which create natural-looking volume across larger surface areas for long-lasting, skin-supportive results that not only increase projection and lift but also enhance skin texture and firmness.
Can Sculptra be used for hip dips or hip contouring?
Yes, we love Sculptra for hip dips! When hip filler is injected in the concavity between the hip bone and outer thigh, it helps create a softer, more continuous contour. As your body produces new collagen in the treated areas, you will notice a beautiful, rounded hip shape that creates or enhances an hourglass figure.
How much does a liquid BBL cost?
At FACE, Sculptra butt lift pricing starts at $8,000 for 10 units, with discounted options of $11,625 for 15 units and $15,000 for 20 units.
Your non-surgical butt lift cost varies based on anatomy and desired results. For a personalized quote, please book a consultation with Nurse Desiree here.
Does a liquid BBL hurt?
Because the treatment area is first numbed with lidocaine, most patients experience minimal pain from the injections. The sensation is usually described as pressure, with mild to moderate tenderness and soreness following treatment, which typically resolve within 2 weeks.
How does a non-surgical BBL compare to the surgery?
While a surgical BBL can create dramatic changes to your curves and butt, it is a multi-step surgical procedure that requires general anesthesia, a significant and demanding recovery, as well as serious risks, both during and after the procedure. First, a surgeon harvests live fat using liposuction, often from the waist or belly, which is then grafted onto the hips and glutes.
A non-surgical butt lift uses injectable biostimulators like Sculptra to enhance shape, contour, projection, and volume by activating your body’s natural collagen production mechanism.
Compared to the surgical procedure, non-surgical BBL does not require general anesthesia, fat harvesting, or prolonged downtime, plus it has a substantially lower risk profile with results that develop gradually and integrate naturally with the surrounding tissue. That said, results from non-invasive BBLs are not as dramatic or long-lasting as those from surgery.
What are the risks of a liquid BBL?
The risk profile for a non-surgical BBL using Sculptra or Radiesse avoids general anesthesia and surgical incisions, which eliminates certain risks. However, it is not risk-free.
All injections carry the risk of infection and tissue injury. Common side effects of biostimulatory fillers include mild redness, swelling, and tenderness at the injection site.
A rare complication of Sculptra is delayed onset nodules or granulomas, though a skilled injector can minimize the risk with proper technique, as can proper post-treatment aftercare.
In rare cases, injectable fillers can cause accidental blockage of a blood vessel, leading to impaired blood flow. This rare but serious complication, called a vascular occlusion, can cause tissue injury and necrosis and requires immediate medical attention.
